Professor Yolanda Ortiz-Rodriguez
Yolanda Ortiz-Rodriguez is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Sociology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She has a PhD in Criminal Justice from The Graduate Center of the City of New York.
Yolanda’s background includes working with youth in juvenile detention facilities in New York City as well as with survivors of domestic violence. Her research agenda is focused on domestic violence and Latinas and gender violence, and is currently exploring the area of coercive control and its use by families and communities in perpetuating violence against women.
