About

The immigration court working group explores the role of immigration court actors and processes in today's deportation regime. Through qualitative observation of deportation hearings, analysis of changing immigration laws, quantitative assessment of court outcomes, and interviews with legal actors, advocates, immigrants, and their families, this group works to develop deeper understanding of legal processes which too often go unobserved. In addition to producing scholarly research on under-explored immigration court processes, this group aims to provide access to legal resources for immigrants, attorneys, advocates, and researchers, and to develop opportunities for immigration court observation by students and other interested parties.
